correcting certificate dates
I have looked at copies of the birth certificate and the death certificate for William H Bratton Jr. and they state that he died the day before he was born. How do you correct a problem like this so that we can do his temple work? The timing was Feb 1922. Birth certificate indicates a home birth.
my name is Richard Sorenson. I do not know how this system works.

Welcome to using the FamilySearch Community.
I was able to locate the records that you are talking about for William H Bratton Jr. (GZ66-ZCC).
I see that the birth certificate indicates that he was born on Feb 19th at 12:30 pm and the death certificate indicates that he died on Feb 18 at 1 pm. These are original copies of the documents, so there is no way for FamilySearch to correct whichever document is incorrect.
From reviewing the information, I would guess that the birth certificate is incorrect based on the burial date of 2-20-2022. If the infant was born and died on 2-19-22, a burial the next day seems quite quick.
Regardless of which date is correct, the Temple work needed is the same. As stated on the death certificate, William only lived a few minutes.

There is an edit option for "Wrong in the document."
