How does one attach sources for names listed on the source but not listed in the family tree?
I have seen several records that have now included the name of the priests, padrinos or madrinas. (Godfathers and Godmothers) when there is no place to attached them to. Does that mean that the records will always have unfinished attachments. Its bad enough that users leave them unfinished and some of us have to go back to attached them. I understand having the names of the child, mother , father, husband, wives etc but family search has not added room to add the priest at baptism and or marriage. Much less for the godfathers and godmothers.

For unrelated persons on historical records we contributors have two choices:
- Once the source is attached to related person pages, go to each of those pages and in the Sources menu Dismiss the message about Unfinished Attachments.
- Finish the attachments. To do that click the Record link at the top of the source linker tool. On the Record click a name of an unrelated person. If there is no suggested attachment, either search for page for that person or make a new page for that person.

I don't understand what you mean by "family search has not added room to add the priest". What exactly is it that you expect or want FS to do?
If there's enough information about the priest to create a profile, you're perfectly free to do so yourself, using the "Add Unconnected Person" option at the bottom of the Recents menu. I doubt most vital records give more than the officiant's name, however, in which case it's perfectly fine to just leave that index entry unattached to any profile.

On the spanish sections, it now has included in the translation of that child, name of father, mother, grandparents either maternal or paternal. Most of the time in researching, you will have those names on the family tree we are working on. Now it seems that they have also indexed the name of the priest, the godparents and witness etc. I for one, do not like to leave unfinished attachments, but I guess from now on when they list all this people unrelated to the person will be dismissed. I would have thought the indexer would not have to do all the work for nothing. Thank your for your time and answers.

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Sometimes, the likes of, the Godparents; and, the Witnesses, are ACTUALLY "Related" Family members.
[ More often than not, they are not; but, just sometimes ... ]
And, on the very odd occasion, I have had Ancestors; where, the 'Officiating" Minister was ACTUALLY "Related" (ie. Father; Grandfather; Brother; Uncle; etc)
So ...
That Said ...
It is often best to record (ie. Index) ALL People involved in an "Event" (eg. Christening/Baptism; etc).
But ...
That Said ...
We certainly DO NOT have to, "Create" a NEW individual/person, in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', from an "Event", if that individual/person is NOT "Related" (ie. has NO "Connection") to the Family/"Ancestral" Line.
There is just NO need ...
[ One reason for such, is that, one MAY be creating, an unnecessary "Duplicate" individual/person ... ]
For example, why would one "Create", a NEW individual/person, in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', from a Census record, if the individual/person was just a "Boarder"/"Guest"/"Visitor", who it has been established. is NOT NOT "Related" (ie. has NO "Connection") to the Family/"Ancestral" Line.
Whereas ...
Those unrelated/unconnected People in an "Event", SHOULD still be recorded/listed/indexed.
I have found my "Ancestors"; as, "Boarders"/"Guests"/"Visitors" in a Household, on a Census.
I attach the Census record to my "Ancestor"; but, I DO NOT either, attached the Census record to the other unrelated/unconnected People in the Census record; and, I especially, DO NOT "Create" records for them, in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', if they DO NOT already exist - As, I have enough work to do with my own Ancestors. I simply "Dismiss" the "Unfinished Attachments", from all those that I attach the "Source" to.
As an aside ...
Here are some "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':
How do I handle unfinished attachments in Family Tree?
How do I add missing family members to Family Tree from record hints?
In the source linker, how do I change the focus person to attach sources to other people in Family Tree?
I hope this may also help, somewhat.

I would have thought the indexer would not have to do all the work for nothing.
No worries. The work is not for nothing. The name of the priest places the family in a specific congregation and that can be very valuable information for piecing together families.
Not everyone here is merely entering an already known family tree.

FYI
In relation to "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch' ...
Most of the Users/Patrons ARE working on their OWN "Ancestral" Lines.
And, in many of those cases, the "Lineage" was/is NOT known, that is what they are trying to establish.
The TRUE (and, ORIGINAL) purpose of "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'; being, Users/Patrons working on their OWN "Ancestral" Lines.
