In search of Wendelin and Mary Karls ancestors
I am in search of the ancestors of Wendelin Wolf, b:1830 - 40 in Bad Soden am Taunus, Main-Taunus, Hessen, Germany. He died about 1920 or before 1939. His wife, Mary Karls or (Margaret Charles) was born about 1830 in the same town of Bad Soden. They were Catholic and she had also died about 1920 or before 1939. They had three sons who immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1880s and moved to Wisconsin. They were Joseph, 1849-1919, Charles H., 1859-1939 and Eugene Justin Wolf, 1862-1939. First of all where exactly is Bad Soden, Germany. Am I correct is finding it about 45 miles northeast of Frankfort, Germany along A66 towards Fulda Germany? Secondly would there be a way to contact the Catholic Church in Bad Soden to ask if there a grave information regarding Wendelin and Mary Wolf? Thank you for any help you can provide.

That would be Wendelin Wolf GH1D-WC6. Here are some next steps you can take to move forward.
- Change his birth date to about 1820. The oldest son attached was born in 1849; allow 30 years and be sure to use about.
- Play with the Map on the Timeline on his Person Page, web interface. (Mobile app does not have the Timeline.) This reveals where Family Tree gazetteer places Bad Soden am Taunus: about 10 miles west northwest of Frankfurt. View that location in Google Maps. It is the Bad Soden am Taunus. There are other Bad Soden place names.
- Attach all the sources for the children that FT is offering. Examine the images.
- Search both Family Tree and Records for other Wolf in Bad Soden in the relevant time period.

Have you tried searching Memories?
In FamilySearch just click on Memories, click on Find and then type in a name you want and see if you can find photos or other documents. I have found the odd nugget of gold in there and you never know someone might just have added a memory that will help.

For a good orientation to how to use genealogical resources in Germany, write letters, etc, see the FamilySearch research wiki: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Germany_Genealogy

You can find parts of the catholic church books for (Bad) Soden online. Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to find out where exactly to look for the right books. After the reformation the catholic citizens of Bad Soden had to go to the next village (Altenhain). So you can find a lot of books there.
Mainly Bad Soden was evangelic (protestant). You can access these books using www.archion.de
