How do I keep within the 15 MB rule when entering documents such as biographical histories?
@BaxterThomasKeithRudd1 . Trying to keep within the 15 MG rule when your have a large volume of information can be a challenge. If this is a history you found on line, and there is no copyright issue, perhaps you can consider posting the URL, as a source. Another option is to scan the document into several PDFs and load them that way. Granted either choice is not the ideal, and if you are wanting to tag different pages to different ancestors, the approach you use would need to accommodate that goal; unfortunately the PDF option will not allow tagging.
But if there is a URL involved, these instructions could be .useful to accomplish that goal
There are some pretty simple ways to stay within the 15MB limit
Most of such methods involve data compression.
Images are usually already under the 15MB limit
for PDF file - I highly recommend ILOVEPDF
which allows for BOTH PDF compression as well as PDF splitting among numerous other great options
then once reduced in size - they can then be uploaded to FS Memories
ILOVEPDF is totally free
