Vermont history
We are looking for the parents of James Wheeler who was born circa 1802. According to his military records he hails from Addison. We are not certain if it is Addison, VT or Addison County, VT. The 1810 census has several Wheeler males living in Addison County with "male children under the age of 10". We have been to New Haven, VT which had the largest number of Wheeler males in the census, unfortunately many town records were lost in a fire. Where do I do from here?

Please be advised, that you will need to "Join" a 'Group' to post in a 'Group'.
The particular 'Groups' that I would recommend would be:

Thanks Brett. Your answer was very helpful. We have been attempting to locate his parentage seemingly forever.
