Indexing as we read - when?

Hello, it'd be extremely helpful to let us index as we go - even if it was just letting us put a tag over a name on an image - it'd makes indexing faster. Even if we didn't insert every information available, just the name and place of birth, would work really well.

An option " Do you want to help an Index this image?" when we are consulting a page is helpful. And let us create projects for the places we need so others can help!

Thanks to John Empoliti for making me aware I shared the wrong help article! I have edited the post and included the article that explains why we can't make a request to index records.

I think there are many reasons why this can't happen yet. Here's a help article that explains a little bit of the process:

We have feedback on this question. Please follow these instructions.

"The project owners determine what information they require for their project. The more information we can index on a record, the more helpful and searchable it will be for a researcher. That is why we often index many fields on most entries. Thank you for your desire to help index these valuable records!"
