Looking for dates for Giles Reckard born in England Married to Hannah Snowam.

UN-knew dates for both of them. Had a son John Reckard born abt 1795 in Madison, New York. Married to Ann M. Mericle in 1818. Thanks for help

Sorry that this will not be a very helpful reply.

Had a dig on FamilySearch and Ancestry and came up with the following:

1. John Reckard appears on Family Tree with ID KC6T-GJ1. This shows a birth year of 1804 with a child in 1808! This record dates back to 2012 but was submitted by an individual.
2. John appears on a few trees in Ancestry with a birth year of 1795 with the child from 1808 as a sister, which seems much more plausible. Giles from England is shown as his father but no mother.

It may be worth contacting the people on Ancestry in case they have further information.

I suspect that finding Giles from England will be like looking for a needle in a haystack!. Although you can drop England in the USA and lose it, it is still a big place (speaking as a resident of England)! Even if you find a possible candidate, you are very unlikely to have any degree of certainty that you have found the right one without more information to narrow the search.
