Mary(Marie A Roberson) - Dead End? Spouse Robert Daniel Swain
Marie/Mary was listed in the 1870 Census as MARY ROBINSON, age 14, (1856?) born in Mississippi, Her marriage license lists her name as MARY ROBERSON. A note was attached from the superintendent of the Confederate Children's Home in Lauderdale, MS giving permission to marry Robert Daniel Swain 11/2/1871. They are both buried in Oxford Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Cuba, AL. Note( several Lancaster's are also buried here)
The 1910 census shows Robert and Mary Swain and her brother COLUMBUS C ROBERTSON age 58 (1852) windowed. There is a Christopher Columbus Robertson dob 1848, dod 1930 listed on FAG Christopher Columbus “CC” Robertson (1848-1930) - Find A Grave Memorial There is an extensive write up on his life showing he married Harriett Lancaster but there is no mention of a sister named Mary or Marie.
Mary's death certificate indicates DOB 2/4/1854 and DOD 11/10/1922. No Parents listed. Any assistance or helpful hints in identifying her parents would be greatly appreciated.
