Homer Tyler King's PID is M44F-DQ6. There is an 1870 census record waiting to be attached, and his 1880 census record has some valuable clues:
- Father's Birthplace: Maryland, United States
- Mother's Birthplace: Ohio, United States
What I typically do is create placeholder person pages for both parents. I allow 30 years per generation and use a round decade, so in this case I would give both his parents the birth year "about 1800" and birth place from his census record. I would give his mother the temporary surname King. Usually this is enough to find both parents.
His mother's maiden surname may have been Tyler, so if the above does not pop some hints I might also search in Records for exact surname King and spouse exact surname Tyler.
His mother was in Youngstown, Ohio the year her son was born. Put that detail on her page in a Residence field.
