I DO NOT like the changes to Family Search!!!

I am a volunteer for Find a Grave. I have found Indexing mistakes and it used to be a simple ONE STEP process to report an issue.

Now all of a sudden I have to go through a maze of feeds and I still have not found where I can report incorrect indexing.

This new change IS NOT USER FRIENDLY!!!

This needs to be fixed!!!

I have been doing this for years. I am not a rookie. I am also tech savvy . I love technology.

    ??

Was this simple one-step process on FamilySearch or on Find A Grave?

I ask because to the best of my knowledge, FS has never had an error-reporting mechanism for indexes. They instituted a partial index-correction mechanism what was it, three years ago now?, but nothing about that can be described as one-step.

    It is i

    n Family Search.

    My process:

I open the picture I have taken.

I then look up the name in Find A Grave

If information is missing, I then try and find more information in Family Search, My Heritage, Ancestry etc.

The problem is definitely in Family Search.

Yes, they did have a simple way to report an error when found.

If I found an error, right there on that page there was a link to report a problem.

It was there within the last month because I used it several times recently.

Now there is no way for me to report a problem.

The issue I am mainly having is with obituaries when someone has added a word in the heading of the obituary and made it part of the persons name.

The ones I have found recently are "Take" & "Succumb"

Oh, are you talking about the machine-indexed GenealogyBank obituaries and their "Errors?" button? It's still mentioned on the collection's search page (https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2333694), but you're right: I can't find it anywhere on the records themselves. Of course, I'm not even certain where it's supposed to be -- I can't ever access the obituaries themselves, so I've never bothered with trying to correct their indexes.

So can anyone at FS tell us where the "Errors?" button on the machine-indexed obituaries has gotten to?
