This site is really messed up... people have wrong information about my KNOWN family & tree.
How in the world do you get the incorrect information corrected and/or deleted? Whoever has put information in on some of my tree has the complete wrong information. I have family information sources from Grandparents, Great-Grandparents... so I know what information in my tree is correct and all the rest that isn't correct at all.

@RoxanneWestJohnson, when that happens usually there is a conflation. It is not enough to detach the person pages that do not belong, because the root of the problem is in the attached sources. Weed them.
You can also bring peace by working on the other family that has been conflated with yours. Grow that tree so it stands on its own.

I highly suggest this video:
WHY USE FAMILYSEARCH FAMILYTREE

Dennis linked a video by James Tanner. James Tanner's videos are the best!
And I must tell you the joke. The joke is: So you think Family Tree is bad? If you could see all the trees on Ancestry.com, can you even imagine the mess? At least on Family Tree the mess gets sorted out.
The 2012 bulk import shows us exactly how ugly the situation was then, before Family Tree, and it was growing worse daily!

Next to each item is an edit button - YOU can edit and correct each item that you feel needs correcting.
when you do - please make note of your source etc. when you correct the information.
FamilySearch Family Tree - is what it is based on users like you and me - who submit our information.
Its only as good as what is entered.
If you have more correct information to add to the system - GREAT - please move forward in adding such information to the system and making it better and more accurate.
Let us know of any specific help you might need in making the corrections.

We also suggest that you send a message to those that have put incorrect information into your tree. They think they are correct also and would benefit from your experience and knowledge. Also you may learn something of your ancestors that you had not known.
As mentioned above in other posts, you have many ways to correct the misinformation. Suggest your use the Help Center to find ways to correct your tree. Another way to fix problems is to go to latest changes, find where the wrong information was attached, and if given the opportunity, undo it which will solve your problem.

Relating to activities- - famous relative-
I looked a the site. and only seeing 4 people in that area before. and was able to see the connection. but today went and saw multiple persons and all of them that where added where not connecting to my tree. at all I saw the error. I looked at my tree and my family tree has not changed but saw where the error was. my descendant was sarah McKinnon born 1859 born at sea registed in melbourne victoria australia,. to Hector McKinnon and elizabeth (betsy ) Malcom. the famous people site. line had her born to a john Mckinnon and a McLeod. which is incorrect. thank goodness you did not change the tree. I have many evidences that state what I have in my tree. How can this be corrected.
My husbands line has many famous people in his line and we can see clearly his connections. and most of them see correct. but for mine there should only be 4 pioneers. which I can see they belong to one line and can validate.
Thank you

'G'Day', Laraine
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
I am somewhat confused ...
Because, you speak about ... Activities ... and ... Famous Relative
I just a 'look' at Sarah McKINNON ( 97SX-P97 )
By the way ... 'G'Day', "Cuz" ... as I am related to her as well ...
There are, in fact, THREE (x3) "Sets" of Parents for Sarah McKINNON ( 97SX-P97 )
Respectively:
(1) 2012 ... User/Patron ... 'FamilySearch'
Father, Hector MacKINNON ( KNNB-JZH ); and, Mother, Elizabeth MALCOLM ( KFTP-DPT )
(2) 2013 ... User/Patron ... 'laraineburton' [ Obviously, You ]
Father, John SIME ( G3WH-D36 ); and, Mother, Mary Clayton WARREN ( MKXW-SHJ )
(3) 2019 ... User/Patron ... 'Lynne Fenner'
Father, John McKINNON ( LDM6-MV3 ); and, Mother, Annie McLEOD ( LDM6-MB5 )
No wonder, that the "Famous Relatives", in "Activities", is confused ...
So, which is correct?
Just curious.

Brett,
Most interested to know where you are connected. I went and had another look. I deleted the incorrect one that being the father john mc kinnon as the father. The research into sarah Mckinnon parents has required many years of research. she was born at sea and registered at see in the victorian records. and on the immigration list is register with father Hector Mc kinnon and Mother betsy Malcolm. in memories for each of the person I have put all the research. sarah married charles gregoire. sarah. her elder brother John and later catherine her sister later called christine where placed in a home as wards of the state. with the statement mother of a febble mind and deserted by father. the two girls where adopted by mary and john sime. that is why I noted them as 2nd [parents. as they raised the girls the boy john was farmed out to a farm. Elizabeth the mother was adfmitted to Yarra Bend all her papers relating to her admission are in her memories and the sadness of her circumstances. you will read in that area. Hector is hard to trace. from time to time I have tried to track him. have put some of his info that has come to light. I am willing to share my research with you if you wish sarah Mckinnon is my g.g. grandmother. there are several of the family are interested in this family. yes we are all in victoria australia. well almost I have also had a lot of success with the gregoire family also .

I will send you a ("Private") 'Message', regarding "Connections"/"Relationships".
'Yes', there are MANY Genealogies/Family Histories, with SAD 'Tales' ...
Can I humbly suggest for Sarah McKINNON's "Adopted" Parents, John SIME; and, Mary Clayton WARREN, that you ADD the "Relationship Type", of "Adopted", with the 'Date' (at least, 'Year') of Adoption (if known); as, that would then 'belay', any confusion; as, to why, there are Two (x2) Sets of Parents.
Plus, that "Relationship Type", for the "Adopted" Parents", may even have a 'knock on effect', with regards to, how "Famous Relative", in "Activities", works.
Just a thought.

I had deleted the other parents as they where not sarah mckinnons parents that is my great grand parents. I thought I had put they adopted sarah and christina.
interestingly sarah did not mention in her marriage certificate her parents correct names as also her husband charles gregoire. but her sister husband had written on christina death certificate her correct parents name. also once I found the correct surname of sarah mother, and the in the letters written by the manager of yarra bend he stated her brother robert malcolm visited her in yarra Bend. when I researched his family. he lived in Richmond victoria as did the sime family. and robert malcolm called one of his sons john sime malcolm. so they must have had some relationship going there. although I guess having a mother in yarra bend would be something you did not talk about in those days. The person who added sarah mckinnon to john and a mcleod was called collins. they added her to there family. but now all is sorted and I now have lost all those people connected to her as famous relatives.
I am back to having only 5 pioneers.
