in this batch the people under the age of 10 have their marital status recorded as never married, but then it was crossed out. I think it makes since to have that crossed out for a child, but I don't know if I should index that info as recorded though it was crossed out or if I should mark it as blank. what do I do?

this is the link to the batch

Thank you!

This is a great question. In the General Project Instructions we find the following:

When information was crossed out, corrected, canceled, or marked void, follow the instructions for “crossed out” that match the situation.

    • When information was crossed out and then replaced, type the new information in the appropriate fields.
    • When information was crossed out, was not replaced, and can be read, type the crossed-out information.
    • When information was crossed out, was not replaced, and cannot be read, mark the field as unreadable by pressing Ctrl+U, or on the indexing toolbar, click the
    •  icon.

If I understand your question correctly, this information would be indexed - it was crossed out, but is readable. I hope this was helpful. Thank you for all your hard work.
