Indexing Duplicates
- Some images may show 2 or more documents. In some cases, documents may be duplicated from 1 image to the next. The images should not be marked as duplicate images if 1 or more documents are different. In the case that a document has been repeated on 1 or more image, index only the document in the data entry area for the image where the document appears. Do not create an entry for the document on subsequent images. Index the new document in the data entry area for the new image.
Hi, as stated above, it appears that even if there are duplicates, you should not mark images as duplicates when there are 1 or more documents that are different. Am I reading this statement correctly?
I have 3 documents on my batch, all of which are duplicated, for 6 total documents. If I am understanding, I do not enter data for the duplicates but I am not supposed to mark the second of each as duplicates, correct?

Please share your batch so others can see what you are seeing and give a correct answer. (I think I know what you mean, but, seeing the documents would be so much easier than blindly interpreting your question).

You would index images 1, 3 and 5. You would mark 2, 4 and 6 as being duplicates since they are identical to the preceding image.
The instructions are referring to the documents that are the same not all documents in the batch.
Thank you for asking for clarification on this issue!

@inthegarden is absolutely correct. Just another note in that regard - be sure to look carefully at both images and if they are even slightly different we need to index both images. This has always been the case for duplicate images. Thank you.
