Often the images have data for fields that we don't index. Could we get a tool that would allow us to "fold" over those fields so we only read the ones we are indexing for multiple entry images?

Field 1 | field 2| unindexed field | unindexed field | field 3 |

|_______|_______|____________________|___________________|_________|

|_______|_______|____________________|___________________|_________|

|_______|_______|____________________|___________________|_________|

fold here ^

becomes

Field 1 | field 2| field 3 |

|_______|_______|_________|

|_______|_______|_________|

|_______|_______|_________|

It doesn't work in table mode, but, you can hide the fields that you don't need in the Form Entry mode. Click on the three dots in the blue image bar. Sometimes it is just easier to use Form Entry depending on the project.

It is easy to do as Melissa has suggested, but it helps if you first fill those fields with 'blank.' Click in the field and then use the icon button to fill that field in all the entries, or Shift + Alt + D. The icon is the down arrow with the three bars, the sixth from the right. Filling them in first saves you having to go back and fill them in after you have finished indexing the batch. Once you have done that click the three dots in the blue bar at the top of the fields and chose 'show and hide fields.' Click the eye icon of the ones you don't want and click save.

It is also handy to put the fields in the same order as they appear on the record, it makes it so much easier. Just put the cursor over the little star above the field and move the field to where ever you want it to go.

    Happy Indexing

    Cedar
