In Ukrainian death records, are parents of minors sometimes only listed by their last names?
In indexing death records from L'viv, Ukraine, I have come across a batch that, after doing many name searches, seems to have the parents of deceased minors possibly listed by their surnames only. I have been working on this project for months, and this is the first time I have seen this possible recording system. I do not speak Polish, Ukrainian, nor Russian, so I often do internet searches for names to confirm I am reading them correctly. In this batch, many parental names seemed to come up as surnames, and rarely first names.
For instance:
Antoni syn [son]
Hrycia Jakimiczk
Jewdokia corka [daughter]
Jedrucka Horisznego
In the same batch, it has some children who seem to be listed under only a single parent:
Irzy syn [son]
Jedrzeia Cwyka [a mother's first and last name, presumably]
Therefore, I cannot be sure if in this community, last names were very commonly used as first names, or if in entries where the child had two listed parents, only their surnames were listed. If that is, in fact, the case, then should I presume that the father's surname would be the first listed, and is therefore the child's surname?
eg, Antoni Hrycia and Jewdokia Jedrucka (see above examples)
Thank you for your help!

If you are unsure of how to index this batch in a foreign language it may be best to return it for someone who is more familiar with the language to index. Better to not guess or assume. We appreciate that you are indexing challenging records but if you are unable to understand this particular record it is better to pass it on to someone else.
