you havent found my actual correct grandfarther? but i have.
for years now you had a man named William M. Huff listed as my Paternal Grandfather. as I have said many times ,He Is Not. after speaking to my last remaining living cousin, and check his facts as well, I / we came up with the correct person that that matches my farther and hi brothers , one of which is my first cousin's farther also.
so her it is . My Grand farther is: William Oland Huff. born 12 July ,1871 in Lyman, York,Maine. His wife, my grandmother is Hellen M. Jewell.
His first son by this marriage is: Earl C. Huff. born15 Nov 1917 in Biddeford ,York, Maine:
second son is : Irving Clinton (spike) Huff. born 15 sept, 1917, in Biddeford, York, Maine.:
and finally : My farther: James Kenneth Huff: born 29 May, 1923: Biddeford, York, Maine: died 22 May, 1976.
(removed private information about living person)
thank you . William Huff Sr !

If you are seeing this incorrect detail in "Family Tree" you should just go ahead and correct it yourself - or enlist the help of a relative to make the necessary changes. If not, you need to clarify where you are seeing William M. Huff listed as your paternal grandfather. Either way, FamilySearch will not make these changes on your behalf, as this work is left to individual users.
As you have posted your comments to a public forum, I believe you should be careful about revealing too much detail about your family here (especially your personal details).

Hi William We are very happy you were able to find yout paternal grandfather. We do note that in the process, a few possible duplicate records were created. For example, there are possible duplicate records for your father, grandfather, grandmother, and great grandparents. These possible duplicates should be resolved either by merging the records if appropriate or setting them as "not a match". Here is a link to an article explaining how to merge.
We are also sending you a private message with additional information. Look for the red dot at the upper right by the bell indicating you have a message. Just click on the bell.

there seems to be a major question now as to whether William Oland Huff is my grandfather, or whether William M. Huff is my grandfather. this debate has been on going for some time. the records seem to indicate that they are both , but that isn't possible. on the surface it seems that William O Huff would be the likely choice , as my Uncle Robert was by his first wife, and Earl, Irving, Hellen and my dad James Kenneth and 2 others by the second wife , Hellen Jewell. but the records i have found of William M Huff also show that James Kenneth was his son also . there is only one James Kenneth Huff. quite confusing !
much more research is required ! it took me 30 years to find any of the Huffs. finally found records in Kennebunk York Maine. and finally some records in Lyman York Maine. the really confusing part so far has been that both William M, and William O, are both buried in the Church cemetery in Goodwin's mills(Lyman) Maine. my health is not good now and i am not able to keep up the work for much longer. There are many parts and records missing or never recorded , which makes things quite hard to trace back correctly.
thought i would mention this as i recieved some more records today from you folks. Bill Huff Sr.

Thank you for all the work that you have done in order to have correct ancestors supported with good sources. Sometimes it can get very confusing when names are so similar and others are adding information. Here are two more options that might be of help to you. One is the genealogy helps that we offer (including a 20 minute "no charge" consultation with a genealogist), and suggestion that you contact some of the others that are changing the records of your ancestors. They believe that their information is correct as you do so both of you can compare and decide (with good sources) which is correct. Everyone benefits and has a correct line.
