US, Washington-County Death Registers 1881-1979 (Part C)
Chart #2 is listed as the key for locations in this project. However, when you get to the documents from the 1950's, there are locations with higher numbers than the last location on Chart #2. Is there another key for this part of the project? 396 is the last number for locations in the 1940's and locations in the 1950's are numbers as high as 801.
Thanks so much for your assistance with this. Currently, I am returning these batches because I cannot find a key for the additional counties. I wouldn't want to take a chance that the current numbers from Chart #2 had been reassigned and all answers would be incorrect.

If there is not a reference on the Number Key Template for the Death Place, please mark the field <blank>. This would apply for all of the instances on the subject batch which have Death Place numbers over "396".
Thank for bring this to our attention and for all the Indexing you do.

Hello LMDunn,
Though you may have returned the batch, when you need help with a batch, you can share it with another indexer. This person can then see details of the batch and give you the help you need, but any information the helper enters into the data entry area will not be saved.
Steps
- Just above the toolbar, click Help.
- On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.
- The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options:
- Copy the batch link, and paste it in an email to the helper or post it on the Share Batch, Etc. page on Facebook. The helper can click the link and go directly to the batch.
- Share the batch code so the helper can enter it in the web indexing tool and open the batch.
- A second way to find the batch code is by clicking Batch, then About Batch. The Batch ID is the same as the code.
It would have been nice to see the batch and advise you regarding finding key for the additional counties.

The 1950 batches now being pulled show location numbers out of range of the currently available Number Key Template. I have included a batch# below in hopes that a clearer and more complete answer can be added to the discussion. This issue applies to any of the many batches I was able to pull down concerning the projects falling in the 1950's.

@SLinda Adarae @CoffeyJo Thank you for responding with information on how to handle this. It is too bad that the contracting group did not provide additional location keys for the years included in the project, which go through the 1970's. It would have made their jobs a lot easier! But at least we are providing most of the relevant information, which will be helpful for those searching for ancestors who died in Washington state.

The latest information we have on this is to mark any Death Place fields <Blank> which are above the numbers in the Number Key Template. Thank you for your question .

While I can mark the locations blank, per guidance here, I'm not seeing that this has been added to the help instructions or the field helps for this collection. It would be useful to have this information added there as well. Thanks.
