Finding an Indexing project in the United States

If you are searching for Projects to Index - we recommend you use Find a Batch rather than Find a Project. These have several records from the United States to index. There are currently no Missouri batches that are available so we encourage you to choose other batches that may be of interest to you. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to index these valuable records!

There are currently two Missouri projects to index:
US, Missouri—County Marriages, 1806–1969 [Part L]
and
US, Missouri—Naturalization Records, 1843–1991 [Part A]
The naturalization project is high priority.
Never bother with Find A Project, it is worthless.

I am not asking how to find indexing projects, nor what projects are available in Missouri?
I would like familysearch to make it possible to find a project in the method I outlined.

@tamrajunecliftonmortenson I have replicated the way you are finding these indexing projects. It must be something new that they are trying out. I'm not sure why anyone would use that system when web-indexing is available which shows all the projects. It also allows indexers to select review batches once they have completed 1000 entries, which can't be done with that method. But, it is nice to know it is available for some countries.
The easier way would be to click on the Indexing tab, and then Web-Indexing. You will see Find Batches. Click on that and you will be able to see every project that is available and you can use the filters on the left side of the page to limit your results. Of course you won't be able to read the project instructions until you have chosen a batch. But, you can always return the batch if you don't like the project.
Hope that helps.

Thank you for your suggestion.
I understand that you use the tool called Search Records by Map, point into Europe and get 3 projects to index for Sweden then in this map you go to America, you choose Missouri and find no projects to Index.
You would like FamilySearch to make it possible to find United States projects to index in the method you outlined using the Search Records tool. Fair enough, this is an excellent suggestion that perfectly you should post it in IDEAS of Indexing. You can also add in your suggestion that this way of finding batches be updated with the actual batches you find in Find a Batch.
Keeping in mind that this Search Record is an engine to help you with your investigación of ancestors it gives a glance of records available online to index but the point is that it is not updated. For example in your method Sweden has 3 projects to index, but if you go to Find a batch (based on language) in web indexing there are 4 projects- and 1 project on Missouri.
Using Search Records tool, allows you to index without having to enter into web indexing and find a batch, or to search a project to index .
Let's the Ideas department hear you suggestion- you qre welcome to post your suggestion.
Click on IDEAS, (left side menu )
Click on Indexing
Click on New Idea-->Idea Title (be specific),
--->followed by a detailed description of your finding and your suggestion.

I like my method because it allows people to find indexing projects in the country or state where their ancestors are from and hence get to know the area. This helps both indexing and finding more relatives.

I would like to index records in the parish that my ancestors came from. That would be really great!

Hello all.
I have already made a suggestion essentially covering these issues. See the link below. Please consider voting for my suggestion/idea in order to concentrate the votes and not dilute then over multiple versions of essentially the same idea. That should improve the chances of something like it being implemented. You can certainly make suggestions/comments within my version to improve it if you wish. Thanks.
