Large Batches might take more time
I was so proud of myself for working so many hours to figure out one person's cursive (a monumental feat for someone like me who does not like or write cursive). This was a large batch with about 40 names and I spent a lot of time on it. I worked on it for several days. Then when I was almost finished, I was so frustrated to find that my batch had expired! Maybe you could allow a little more time or send me a text saying that my batch is about to expire. I was thinking that it would expire after so many days of INACTIVITY. I thought since I was still working on it each day, the system would know not to through it away. Oh well. I guess I'll keep trying

Hi there,
Thank you for all your hard work indexing cursive batches. Rest assured, nothing you index is ever "thrown away." When a batch expires before it's finished, it's sent back to the indexing pool where another indexer will finish the batch and submit it for review. When you finish for the day, your batch will appear under My Batches like this example -- US, Kentucky—Supplemental Schedule ....., 1850–1880[M395-8S8] -- To the right is the Due Date, like this -- Due: 9 Aug 2021--- that's when your batch will "Expire" and go back to the indexing pool. Typically, you will have 7 days in which to finish your batch and submit it for review. Then, you will see your numbers increase under My Indexing Totals.
Again, thank you for all your hard work. Cursive writing can be especially challenging and we appreciate those who choose to give it a try.
Mary 😎
