My mother, Mildred Alene Barlow, moved her 10 years ago from Georgia at age 90. We taught her how to index and she has been indexing ever since. She will have her 100 birthday Aug 23 and it will be a grand celebration. I teach indexing in our ward and I have marveled at her ability to continue to index every day. Her total at present is 87,289. Previously before they changed the format she had over 100,000 on her total page. She has been an inspiration to many and when I hear someone say they don't think they can index I tell them that if Mildred can at age 100 they can do it also.

We are challenged each stake conference to index a certain number of batches and also submit a name to the temple for ordinance work. She's got the challenge for the indexing down without much effort.

We need to encourage all ages to index it is good for the brain as much as playing brain games and much more productive.
