Having trouble putting down 08 on the birthplace line. It won't accept it.

The birth place field will only accept alpha characters.

I am having the same issue. I need to type in 54 for the birthplace but it is then changed to 45. I cannot type in any birth location since on this batch it was changed to a drop down instead of a fill in the box. The drop down is not inclusive to all of the different birth locations. This was not a problem on previous batches.

Problem with Birthplace Field in Liberia Census Part K b̼u̼t̼ ̼N̼O̼T̼ ̼P̼a̼r̼t̼ ̼J̼.

This seems to be a problem for the Birthplace Field with part K of this project, but not part J. I have one batch checked out from each Part, and in the Part J batch I can successfully enter and retain a value not in the Birthplace Field drop down list (e.g. 54). But in my part K batch, I (like everyone else) cannot enter and retain a non drop-down value in the Birthplace Field. Yet we are supposed to do this for both Parts per the Birthplace Field Help in both parts:

Select the numeric code and corresponding value from the drop-down list. If the numeric code cannot be found in the drop-down list, type the code as it was written, including any preceding zeros.

Maybe @annewandering can follow up with the Software Engineers on this. Thanks.

I have tried typing the code as it was written but the system still will not take it.

Yes, it's a problem for Part K of the Project, but not Part J.

We are told to mark the field blank if it will not accept the code.

By the way any mod here can help. Best not to focus on any one in particular.
