How do I request a merge for duplicate in a "read only" record?

Minerva Eliza Byram [LZL9-RLP] is marked "read only" and doesn't allow changes. (Wife of early Church member Jesse Gause.) However, there is a duplicate record that should be merged with hers: Minerva Eliza Gause [M29S-S47].

    @csfriel

    Welcome to the "Community.FamiltSearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

That is a very good question ...

And, you have certainly come to the right place; but, possibly just not the right area; hopefully, this will do.

    As an aside ...

'Yes', the "System" is not very intuitive ...

Lets one know there is a Possible "Duplicate"; but, DOES NOT let one "Merge"/"Combine" them ...

And, DOES NOT even lead one through a "Process" to "Request" such be "Merged"/"Combined" by "Support".

And, Same, Same ... trying through "Minerva Eliza GAUSE" ( M29S-S47 )

    Read Only _ Merge or Combine _ Unable _ 3 _ 26 July 2021.jpg

    Now ...

    That Said ...

Hopefully, a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], here, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, will TAKE ON, this 'Post' of yours, into the inner workings of 'FamilySearch' "Support", to get that "Merge"/"Combine" actioned; as, we can no longer 'Send a Message', thereby creating/generating a 'FamilySearch' "Support" Case.

Just give it some time, for a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], to 'see' your post.

    Good Luck.

    Brett

Hi @csfriel and Brett. I would be happy to get this forwarded to the right place for a solution. I will need to message you @csfriel to get some necessary information before I submit the request.

The message will come under the envelope next to the bell in the upper right hand corner.
