I wrongly entered the name Olof Hammarlund G8M2-6ZV. His name is Eric Hammarlund. His son is Olof and his daughter Greta Stina.

I have tried to make this simple change of first name but have been going round in circles for an hour. Thanks

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Firstly ...

I suggest, that you "Edit" your post here; and, remove the first sentence

Personal details, of one's self, should not be included, in posts.

    Secondly ...

In relation to "Changing" the 'First' Name, from "Olof", to "Eric" for "Olof HAMMARLUND ( G8M2-6ZV ) ...

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':

How do I change vital information in Family Tree?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-change-vital-information-in-family-tree

    And ...

    Pictorially ...

    I hope this helps.

Thank you. I put my name so my tree could be found. Perhaps it is only me who sees my name?

Hopefully I will be able to change Olof to Eric.

I did try to find out how to do this but clearly was looking in the wrong place. Thanks again.

    That is correct ...

As, you are "Living" ONLY you can 'see' yourself ... NO Other User/Person can 'see' you ... that is for "Privacy".

We can ALL 'see' the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

Whereas, we can ONLY 'see' the "Living" individuals/persons (including ourselves) that we create/enter in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

We CANNOT 'see' the "Living" individuals/persons that were created/entered, by Other Users/Patrons (including themselves), in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

Our "Privacy", that of the "Living", is very important in 'FamilySearch'.

    Enjoy.
