Trying to track Latvian records

Madona Latvia is where my Nan was originally from. Trying to find records from that area to follow the line.

Hi Emma,

Have you tried Research Wiki? Log into FamilySearch and click on the Search tab on the FamilySearch bar and the in the drop down tab click on Research Wiki. You will see a map page, in the search bar type Latvia and you will see the Latvia Geology page. "Guide to Latvia ancestry, family history, and genealogy: birth records, marriage records, death records, census records, and military records."

There you will find tabs for Latvia Online Genealogy Records and one for 'Ask the Community.'

The page also has a map showing all the Republican Cities and Municipalities.

In the right hand column are links to various record collections.
