Why does a topic "Closed" by an employee / moderator show as being "Started" by them?

This is as illogical as going to "Start" in Windows to "Shut down"!

Can someone please get the vendor (or whoever makes "Community" program changes) to alter this confusing wording?

To clarify, none of these items were instigated by C Lethaby, who did not even directly participate in some of them. One would hardly guess this from the terminology that has been adopted when a moderator closes a Discussion item in Q and A.
