Yea, this is a nice batch:

Is a name with the prefix Mrs consiered to be a unique name; i.e Mrs Louisa Schmidt and Louisa Schmidt. Are those to be indexed separately? Mrs as a prefix makes a name an unique name.

I would also like to know if the company owner's name in entry 13 should be listed as a unique name between entry 13 and 14.

Yes, Schmidt(surname) Herman (given name) in one entry as unique name, enter only once as there are about 13 people with same name and surname-the others are unique because of other initials in the name. John(Given name) Luecke (surname) is another unique name- separate entry

Another example is after entry 26 for John, there is a John with a company Wright, Peaslee & Co. Should Wright and Peaslee be indexed as unique names with blank given names?

Yes, one entry for Schmidt(surname) , John(given name) and 2 entries for the following:

Wright (surname) another entry- given name - blank

Peasles (surname) another entry-given name- blank.

Just in case the Project instructions indicates: When indexing business names, index the names of individuals only. For example, "The Ad Book" would not be indexed, but "Barner Kehlenbeck Wines and Liquors" should be indexed. In this case, you would create 2 entries: one for Barner (surname) and another for Kehlenbeck (surname).

Hope I have answered your question.

Example of what and where the Batch code is :

Above your image- at end of the name of project- within brackets[ ]

    image.png

How to share a batch code:

    ·        Just above the toolbar, click on Help.

    ·        On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.

The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options:

Copy the batch link, or copy the batch code. Either one of them past it at the end of your title of you question.

To copy the batch link or code:

    ·        Click the left side of the mouse and drag it over the area you want to copy, then move your mouse over the place you want to paste it and click the right of the mouse. (Choose keep text only)

These are also these sort cuts keys: You still have to drag the mouse over the area you want to copy and click: To Copy: Ctrl+C and to Paste: Ctrl+V.

A second way to find the batch code is by clicking on Batch, then About Batch. The Batch ID is the same as the code. Follow the same process of copy and paste the code in the community.

US—City and Business Directories, 1749–1990 [Part C][M347-L4N] I assumed that the answer should be the same for any batch in these registries. I would also like to know if the company owner's name in entry 13 should be listed as a unique name between entry 13 and 14. Another example is after entry 26 for John, there is a John with a company Wright, Peaslee & Co. Should Wright and Peaslee be indexed as unique names with blank given names? I just want to be sure I understand because there are several similar situations throughout this batch.
