Not sure how to do a child Naturalization
Hello, some of the Missouri Naturalization records are forms filled out by a parent on behalf of a
child with the child's name first on the form. Do I enter the child's name only, and further on the
page it says it is so-and-so's child, and I can't tell if that is referring to the same child with a new name.
Thank you

It is always best to share the batch to get the BEST answer. To do that, copy and paste or type the batch code with your question. The batch code is the letters and/or numbers in brackets beside the title. Or you can click on the third icon from the right and copy and paste the link.
The project instructions for this project tell us:
- Index information about the person seeking naturalization and about the person's spouse, all in the same entry in the data entry area. Do not index the names of parents, children, or other relatives that are listed on the document.
So, you would create an entry for the child (or beneficiary on some of these forms). If the child appears to have a birth name and then their name has been changed, you would use the name variation rule and insert an Or between the given and surnames.
