Be able to reserve just one ordinance for an individual
I want to reserve just the Initiatory for an individual but when I try to do that, I get the Initiatory, Endowment and Sealing to Parents. I have unchecked the Reserve All box and then opened up the box to show the individual ordinances, but there is only a selection box next to Initiatory. When I check that box, I end up reserving all three. I do not want to do this as I already have several Endowments to do but have an appointment to do Initiatories. I understand that I can reserve them all and then share them with the Temple, but feel that there should be a way to select just certain ordinances for a person for whom I have just completed some research. I also understand that I can go to Ordinances Ready and select Initiatories, but wanted to do this specific individual and do not get that choice in Ordinances Ready. Thoughts?

I’ve had this problem as well. I wanted to do ordinance work for a family member who was deceased more than a year ago. Her spouse passed away less than a year ago, plus I do not have his family’s permission to do the ordinances. Yet, FamilySearch will not allow me to select just my relative and not the spouse. In fact, I cannot proceed without providing permission contact information on the spouse. The only resolution, suggested by the Temple Family History Library staff, was to temporarily remove the spousal relationship from FamilySearch and then select all ordinances for my relative.
ideally, as suggested by the O.P., users should be able to select specific ordinances for an individual. This would resolve my issue by allowing the sealing to an ineligible spouse to be deselected.
