When reviewing excess indexed records
As an example with the Liberia census records the indexed record contains more entries than the original document does. I have come across more than one instance where the original census record has the information about five people but the index record contains information about six people.
I assume the information for the sixth person is valid and pass it on in the review but I cannot determine where the extra person's information originated. Is this the correct way to handle this information?
Thanks.

Without the project name and especially the batch number it is difficult to answer the question. However, often in the lower left corner of the document, there is an area (Section 6) where deceased individuals are listed. These names also need to be indexed. This may be where the extra name(s) are coming from. Next time this happens, please check there. If this is not the case, please post again with the project/batch information. This is located just above the green (for indexing) or red (for review) line which runs across the upper portion of your screen.
