Godparents erroneously indexed at parents
Oftersheim Kirchenbücher (Gebursbuch 1697-1808)
DGS 102060841, images 514-527 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSWZ-6914-4?mode=g&i=513&cc=3015626
The records in the first 14 images of this book are presented in a different format than the usual format. Entries are presented in family groups, with the name of the husband and wife and their marriage date in the first column, multiple children born to each couple are listed to the right on the same page. Each child's entry includes name, godparent's name and baptism date. In this section, godparents were indexed as parents - which is incorrect and can cause confusion and possibly creating incorrect relationships as images are attached.

@Gina Palmer We would like to be able to confirm the error in these 14 images in order to alert a team of specialists to the problem. But the URL you provided brings up a message that the images are not available and when we searched the catalog for DGS 102060841, we got no results.
We do see that the index and images were done in partnership with Ancestry.com for the larger record collection: Germany, Lutheran Baptism, Marriages, and Burials 1500-1971. Perhaps permissions to access this DGS have changed.
Could you double-check your URL and DGS numbers? Or help us find a way to see what you are seeing?
We did check the catalog for church records for Oftersheim, Baden, Germany, and we do not see a Gebursbuch entry. So, we'd appreciate any help you can provide to locate these records. Thank you.

@N Tychonievich It looks like these are restricted images. I'm guessing the DGS provided doesn't appear in the catalog because it comes from the "Ancestry collection."
Geburtsbuch 1697-1808 was taken from the actual image.
These books would be the following in the FS catalog: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/76404
Taufen 1684-1724, 1724-1808, DGS 4038463.

@ cesarnarcisotinocoperez1 Thank you for your post. That didn't apply to the situation. My post was not a question, but to make someone aware of an indexing error. Since the relationships were indexed incorrectly it will cause problems finding records, as well as trying to attach them to individuals in Family Tree. Or, if a relationship is created based on the indexed information, wrong relationships will be created.

@Gina Palmer Looking at the catalog entry for DGS 4038463, we see that FamilySearch only has an index to this film available for online viewing. Since we do not have online access to the record images, we have no way to confirm errors.
We notice that the larger record collection that this DGS is part of, Germany Births and Baptisms, is one of the older "Legacy" collections that was indexed prior to 2010. These older collections are known to have many errors. You might be interested in the Wiki article that describes the known issues for this particular record collection:
If you found these records on another website, you can create a source for an ancestor on Family Tree that will point to that source if you'd like to. When you do that, you might want to note the issues you found that could be confusing to other users.
