Easy Invitations
I am the Temple and Family History Leader for our Ward. I have used the Easy Invitations portion of the Helper Resources for Ward Members. In past the invitiations indicated Record Hints and Temple Opportunities.
Has this feature of Record Hints and Temple Opportunities been deleted?
If so, can Record Hints and Temple Opportunities be "restored"?

Hi Vince, we are not sure that they have been deleted, at the moment FamilySearch are focusing on Discovery pages that we can send to our friends.

What are and where are the Discovery Pages? Is it the same as Easy Invitations? Can I use an email feature that Helper Resources for Ward members provides?
If Easy Invitations is not available, what would be the easiest and most productive way that Ward Members can use that would prompt Temple and Family History?

Hello Vince,
You wish to know where to find the Discovery page. Some individuals in Family Tree, have the notation box top right on the Details page, which says "Go to New Discovery Page". You click on it, and it gives you some facts concerning the person. You can get back to the original page by clicking "Go to Details page" in the same location.
Also, the Easy invitations are still available. You access them through the Helper Resources. Most of the ones we see are Discovery Experiences., rather than Record Hints, or Temple Opportunities.
1. At the top of the FamilySearch.org website, click Help.
2. In the drop-down menu that appears, click Helper Resources.
3. You see a gallery of tools and features. Click the one titled Easy Invitations.
4. Scroll through the list of names, until you locate the name of the person you would like to invite.
· Note: The icons to the right of the person’s name tell you the type of activity available for him or her through FamilySearch messaging.
5. To the left of the person’s name, click Copy.
6. A link has been copied to your computer's clipboard. Use your computer's edit capabilities to paste the link into a message that you can send to the person you are helping. You will need to choose how best to send the message—text, email, and so forth.
7. The link takes the person to the Discoveries tab of FamilySearch Messages, where he or she will see messages about discovery activities. He or she will need to browse the messages and click the appropriate button to begin one of the activities (it might be a good idea to tell the person you are inviting if there is more than one).

What I am wanting to know is: Will the Easy Invitations portion of Helper Resources continue to have Temple Opportunities and Record Hints icons?
I am new Temple and Family History Leader for our Ward. I have use Easy Invitations to stimulate Ward members interest in Temple and Family History. It was to me a great way to have questions asked and answers given by consultants about FamilySearch.
If this feature is no longer available. I would like it to be reinstated if possible.

Right now it's only showing Discovery experiences. We have no timeframe when the Temple Opportunities or Record Hints icons will appear for the ward members under Easy Invitations. Record Hints are available on the person page for an individual. And a guest can always use Ordinances Ready for ancestors that need Temple Opportunities.

The following is what Helper Resources is encouraging:
Copy and send shareable links personalized for local members.
Then in Lakeshore Ward Opportunities - I am the Lakeshore Ward Temple and Family History Leader - it promotes the following:
"The following members in your branch or ward have a Temple Opportunity, a Record Hint, or a Discovery Experience waiting for them on FamilySearch.org. Some members do not have an email associated with their FamilySearch account, or have not seen these FamilySearch messages in their personal email inbox. They may need your encouragement to sign in to FamilySearch and check for waiting Messages.
You can copy the link next to their name and send it to them by text, WhatsApp, or other method."
It has been a useful tool in our Ward to stimulate FamilySearch research. Also, if the Icons for Temple Opportunity or Record Hint is visible, the Temple and Family History Consultants are able to provide Ward members further research and guidance.
As you noted: The icons to the right of the person’s name tell you the type of activity available for him or her through FamilySearch messaging.
Please elevate FamilySearch programing for the return of the icons for Temple Opportunity and Record Hints. It has become a valuable tool.
As described above in the promotion of Easy Invitations, Ward members can contact consultants to encourage signing in to FamilySearch and check for waiting Messages.
