I am new to this. Indexing records from Liberia. What do I do when only one record is in batch?

Hi Gerald! Welcome to Indexing!
After you have indexed all the names and information on the image, then you must delete the unused preset entries. To do this, Click on the trash can icon, select "all blank entries", and click delete. Now you will only have the entries that you created and be able to submit the batch.
I know it is a bit confusing as the What to Remember About This Project simply says:
- Images may show multiple records. You may need to add or delete entries in the data entry area to index all of the records on a document or remove any unused entries.
I always like to recommend a couple of really great videos produced by FamilySearch that help us learn web-indexing.
The first one was done on FamilySearch Facebook and was uploaded to Youtube. The indexing tutorial at the 8 minute mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdqvYCPP7ho
This is also great, but, a little bit outdated as changes were made as the program evolved. Getting Started with Family Search Web Indexing by Kathryn Grant and BYU Family History Library.

I hope you really enjoy indexing!

Great question,
If the system gave you one record with a list of people ( one or more than one) then index each person in each entry. Please read the project instructions and field helps or further directions.
You can also post your question with the batch code in here to better respond your question.

When a batch only has one image, index the names on that image. If you need to add or delete extra entries in order to submit, please read the Project Instructions or the General Indexing Guidelines.
