With all the confusion that gets posted repeatedly on these boards about how Family Tree works, everyone possible really should watch this up coming webinar. These are always excellent. Kathryn Grant always does a great job with her presentations:

When FamilySearch started Family Tree in 2012, it was a revolutionary concept: a free shared tree for the world!

Almost 10 years later, people still wrestle with the concept of a shared tree. How do you work effectively in a shared tree with other users? How do you avoid problems?

If you'd like to learn more, join us on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 5:30 pm MDT, for a webinar entitled, "Best Practices for Working in FamilySearch's Shared Family Tree."

Sponsored by the BYU Family History Library, the webinar is free and open to everyone. More information, including the Zoom link, is available on the webinar page:

Thanks for sharing, I enjoy Kathryn Grant's presentations. I will have to watch this one taped as I have YW classes tonight and with time difference can't watch live. I wish many people would watch this...so many people do not understand the concept of the shared tree.
