Do I have to type "Jr." in the surname box?

    Hi Josh. No. Unless there is a Suffix Field (โ€œboxโ€) [a suffix follows a name] or a Terms and Titles Field (rare these days) we just ignore the Jr, i.e. donโ€™t index it or other titles/ suffixes like Sr or 2nd or III

    Similarly for Mr. or Mrs. in a personโ€™s name. If there is not a Prefix Field (โ€œbox) [a prefix precedes a name] or a Terms and Titles Field we would ignore those and other titles/prefixes, like Rev.

    The Researchers will see those titles/ suffixes / prefixes when they look at the image. I suppose that Project Instructions could override these general rules, but I donโ€™t recall that ever happening.
