    Hello.

I found your ancestor in Family Tree and notice that you've done an excellent job of documenting the life of Ivan Pogue Kinder by the various sources you have attached. On Ancestry.com there is a marriage record for Ivan Pogue Kinder and Winnie Marie Doss.

    Name: Ivan Pogue

    Gender: Male

    Age:37

    Birth Date: abt 1922

    Residence Date: Abt 1959

    Residence Place: Arlington Texas

    Marriage Date: Abt 1959

    Spouse: Winnie Marie Doss

This item is from The Daily Law Journal-Record, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2 July 1959 and is a record of the marriage license application. You might want to check to see if you can obtain a copy of the marriage license, which might indicate a former marriage.

The FamilySearch Wiki has an article that discusses the availability of Oklahoma Vital Records:

I'm hoping this might help you in your research.

We did a basic search using Search - Records and did find someone with that exact birth dates. We would recommend that you follow the instructions in Search Tips for historical Records. This search involves about 35% of our total records by searching only the records that have been indexed.

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/when-i-am-searching-historical-records-what-are-the-best-practices-and-tips

To search the rest of the data we suggest that you use the Explore Historical Images page to explore the raw images we are capturing daily. We have 300 teams in the field currently digitizing images and up loading them daily so you may want to visit this page often.

This should get you started further in your search.

Perhaps you might want to try seeing what records are available to you here:

    https://www.oklahomacounty.org/Elected-Offices/Court-Clerk/Request-Records

This is the Oklahoma County Records Request page. You know there was a license issued to the couple in 1959.

    Again, good luck!

Thank you. I ordered the marriage license for Ivan and Winnie (my husband’s parents). It is the weekend, so I will likely hear from them on Monday,

I will continue to search for his first marriage records. This may be found out in Missouri since he lived there until the 1950s. If you have any other suggestions, I would really appreciate them!

    Kim
