Temple Cards Not Being Returned to Patron
Since the Temples are no longer returning the Ordinance cards to the patrons can the Temple Reservation system FOR report be modified to print an Ordinance slip (similar to the Temple list slips given to patrons who do not have their own family file ordinances to be proxy for) for each individual Ordinance? It would save on paper and ink if we don't have to print a complete Ordinance Card (as they are now) to do the next ordinance in line to be done.
As it is now, the card for a single individual have to be printed after each ordinance (in particular Initatory, Endowment, Sealing to parents) is completed. Temple ordinance workers are instructed not to let an ordinance be performed if the prior ordinance is not completed. Therefore, If a patron prints out several cards at once to use for each individual ordinance they cannot use a card for an endowment for example because the initiatory block is blank as the temple kept the card when the initatory was ordinance was completed. What happens now is that there is additional work put on the patron to get their family names through the necessary ordiances which takes away from their research time and time being spent at the temple doing the ordinances.
Thank for listening and I look forwoard to hearing if this will be something that can be implemented.

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ and, I happen to be a member of the Church ... ]
FYI
I, 'hear'; and, 'understand', what you are, 'saying'; and, your suggested enhancement.
But ...
That Said ...
I truly hope that, such as you request, is NOT implemented.
When I 'take' My "Ancestors" to the "Temple", I would prefer to 'see' a "Temple" Card in its entirety, the FULL "Details" of My "Ancestor", rather just a "Name", with the OTHER "Details", so SMALL that you almost DO NOT 'see' them.
The SMALL 'Slips'; as, "Temple" Cards, for those in the "Temple" File, are just fine, when you DO NOT have any Work for your OWN "Ancestors".
But, I would really 'dislike' (I could use stronger words), 'seeing' the "Temple" Card for My "Ancestors", who I have diligently research and worked on, REDUCED to an INSIGNIFICANT 'Slip' of a Card.
Just my thoughts.
I am sorry ...
Although, we cannot, I would 'down vote' this suggested enhancement of yours, if i had the chance.
Brett
ps: Look, I think that the Church may even be investigating, doing away with "Temple" Cards, altogether ...
pps: That would be very, sad; and, disappointing, indeed ... but, certainly 'the way things are heading' ...

Please do something about this issue! It is really confusing to have to go back into reserved names to try to figure out what needs to be printed again. I can imagine how confusing it is going to be for older patrons who don't navigate computers well.
Family Search needs to figure out something to help those of us doing temple work better track things now that the temple keeps the cards after each ordinance. PLEASE!

I am one of those OLDER Patrons ...
I DO NOT understand WHAT you mean by "... It is really confusing to have to go back into reserved names to try to figure out what needs to be printed again ..."
IF, the Work is Completed; THEN, that Work appears in the "Completed" Section, of our "Temple" 'Tab'.
Whereas ...
IF, the Work still needs to be done; THEN, that work appears in, either, (1) the "My Reservations" Section; or, (2) the "Shared" Section, of our "Temple" 'Tab', depending on what we have decided we can do.
And, when the Work, for a particular "Ordinance", is "Completed", we ARE notified, through "Notifications" Section of 'FamilySearch', under the (ie, Our) 'Temple" 'Tab'.
So ...
That Said ...
Question: WHAT is confusing?
The aforementioned processes are very straight forward; and, easy to use.
And, there are "Filters" in, both, (1) the "My Reservations" Section; or, (2) the "Shared" Section, to group/pin point what one wants (or, needs) to do.
It is NOT complicated, just a matter of (Member) Users/Patrons getting to know how to use the feature/function/facility - that is a matter of 'Practice'.
And, of course; as to, 'Training'; well, that 'Training' is the "Responsibility" of the "Temple and Family History, Consultants" in the Wards/Branches.
Plus, not to mention, the responsibility of the (Member) User/Patron to ASK for HELP, when needed, from their "Temple and Family History, Consultants" in their respective Wards/Branches.
Just my thoughts.
Brett
ps: Of course, personally, I wish that the "Temple" Department would CHANGE the procedures; and, "Return" the "Temple" Cards, to Patrons, if so REQUESTED, when an "Ordinance", has been "Completed"; and, the completion of that "Ordinance" has been RECORDED in the "Temple" System.
