I am researching family buried in the Carmunnock Parish Church in Lanarkshire, Scotland. I have come across images at https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1322148?availability=Family%20History%20Library

Some of the entries (i.e. those marked "interred in old churchyard") do pertain to the Carmunnock Parish Church. I am having difficulty finding which cemetery relates to the other burials. To my knowledge, there are no other cemeteries in Carmunnock. Any ideas or leads from your records? Another researcher suggested Linn Cemetery but I believe it opened until 1961 so that wouldn't account for the burials prior to that time. Tollcross is also referenced in later images on that link but don't seem to correspond to the Carmunnock entries.

Donna: this url directs us to Salt Lake for a film. It has a lock above the camera meaning it is not viewable online. However, you might try calling Salt Lake for additional help. There are volunteers who can research for you in this matter.

I was able to access these images as a non-Latter Day Saint user from my home in New Zealand. Sometimes you see a camera with key symbol because you are not logged in properly, and upon clicking it the system realizes that you are logged in and lets you view the images. It is also possible that there are different restrictions in different countries for this film.

I have been able to access the images on-line and can read the handwritten entries. My confusion regards the location of the "Carmunnock Cemetery." I have ancestors in the Carmunnock Parish Church Cemetery at this Find-A-Grave location https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2322441/carmunnock-parish-church-cemetery

The bulk of the entries are for individuals buried in another "Carmunnock Cemetery" (referenced by Sections and Lair numbers). I don't know which cemetery this may be and am looking for suggestions for further research.

The article at https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/sct/LKS/Carmunnock has links (including a "Cemeteries" one) that might be of help.

You also might wish to join the FamilySearch "Scotland Genealogy Research Group" via "Groups" in these Community pages. A member might have some specialist knowledge that would be of help.
