Need Assistance Identifying a Town in Poland

My granmother emigrated to the US in 1921. Her registration card from the ship "Haverford" which sailed to Philadelphia from Liverpool England says she lived in Rosaga, Poland. I have had no success finding a town by the name of Rosaga in Poland. Any suggestions regarding the true name of this town? My grandmother was born in 1900 or 1901. Thank you.

Thanks! I thought that was who it was. I went through that entire ship manifest and, unfortunately, the spelling of most of the Poland localities is way off. I have done a bit of Polish research and here is what I would suggest. If you have access to Ancestry, search for Katarszyna to see if you can find additional information on where they came from. You have some clues that Katarsyna was in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1921 and she would be born about 1870 (+/- 10 years).

Also, you could try to find either of their Naturalization records. Those would list their birth date, city and country of birth, along with the date and ship they immigrated on.

Once you have gathered what you can, I would schedule an online consultation with someone who can guide you on where to look next.

    I hope this helps!

What was her name? I will look at the image from the ship manifest to see if I can assist.

Thank you, Sheryl. Her name is Olga Oleksiak. Her mother's name is mentioned,

too: Katarszyna Oleksiak. The date of the ship registration is May 29,

1921. She was 20 years old at the time of emigration. Thanks again.

    Regards,

    Candy
