@W1 We can't give you a precise answer as to why the number of indexed records shows as some 20,000 fewer now than what you saw previously. We notice in the collection description that the records cover 1600-1937. It is not unlikely that the record custodians asked us to pull down some more recent records from public view. Unfortunately, we have no way to know for sure.
It looks like you can also browse the images if you are not finding what you need in the indexed information. That might turn up more information for you.

There were approximately 300,000 records in April.
Now there are 100,000 less.
