Search engine timing out too soon returning inconsistent results

Difficult to bring up microfilm for research on search catalog site. Put in known microfilm # and hit search. No results comes up instead of record information to allow entry into the record. Once in awhile the correct record info will come up, but most of time does not. Same if put in exact known geographical location for same microfilm #. Need to be able to access the microfilm right after search entry clicked on.
