Someone changed my father's and uncles names mothers name. This is incorrect. How do I change it
I seen a change in my grandmothers name and it is incorrect. I can't edit it. For my father Jesus Vega1939-1985 K83B-B4T . and my uncle Anthony Harper (Anthonio Vega). The person put 2 different names for each of their mothers. Some parents. Their mothers name is Rosalie Elizabeth Sullivan not Rose Omar or Rosa Marr.
Thank You
Susan Vega

Dear Susan,
We looked at the ID for your father and we can see his mother's name on his page and on the page of his brother, Anthony, is Rosalie Elizabeth Sullivan.
We can also see that the two different names you see are in the Other Information section on Rosalie's page as Alternate Names. Rosa Marr is the name on the birth record of her son, Antonio Vega. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VD94-FTT?from=lynx1UIV8&treeref=LXYY-YM7
And Rose Omarr is her name on the birth record for Jesus Vega. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V8W8-7PJ?from=lynx1UIV8&treeref=LYJV-31H
The actual images of these records are not available to view, so we can't see if they were indexed correctly, but they cannot be edited anyway, because FamilySearch is not the owner of those records. If you look under Cite this Record on each of those pages you will see that.
The user who added those two Alternate Names indicated the reason is because of her name on the birth records of her children. This is actually a very good thing to do. Adding Alternate Names can help other to find people in the tree, and it also brings up better search results when using the Search Records feature on the right side of every person page. Those searches use all of the names on the person page when searching indexed historical records, so you wouldn't want to remove them. This article explains more about entering names in Family Tree:
We hope this helps.

Susan,
Another possibility or variation for your grandmother's name - could be Rosemary. She is listed in the 1920 census as Rosamay E. Sullivan. Maybe her name entry for the births of the children (Jesus and Antonio) "Rose Omarr" and "Rosa Marr" was some "corruption" of Rosamay and the Omarr and Marr are not last names?
However, the California Death Index entry for Jesus Vega indicates the mother's maiden name as "Omar." So, it is a bit of a puzzle. It would be interesting to know who the informant was for Jesus' death. The maiden name recorded could be an error?
Just some additional thoughts to process.
