Slideshow - love to be able to add captions
I wonder if FamilySearch has considered letting us add captions for photos in slideshow or even letting the title of the photo show in the slideshow.

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Question: Does cover what you are suggesting?
Just in case you have not ...
Have you 'seen' this "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':
How do I play a slideshow of an ancestor's photos and documents?
I hope this helps, somewhat.

Thanks for responding.
However, I do know how to make and play a slideshow. I was just making a suggestion that the ability to add captions to the slideshow would be a good feature for the future.

FYI
Understood.
By the way ...
That "Knowledge Article", that I provided, advises HOW, to make a "Slideshow."
IF, one was the one who MADE the "Slideshow"; THEN, possibly, one CAN add such "Captions".
As, I have NOT created any "Slideshows"; nor, 'seen' any, on any of my Ancestors, I am NOT aware of, whether or not, ANOTHER User/Patron, can add "Captions", to a "Slideshow", created by a someone else..

Related workaround(s):
There is the capability within photos to record audio. You could include whatever in the audio.
Then when you add those to the Slideshow and share the link - the person can choose to play the slideshow with that audio. I think audio is almost better than a caption?
OR
use a photo Editor to attach caption text before uploading the photos and adding them to the Slideshow. Example removed in favor of Dennis' longer slideshow example below.

Here is a sample of a slideshow

Under current constraints - Labels are best put on digitally to the photo itself as others said.
(there is no current option to do adhoc labels/captions - nor display the title of the item)
audio is attached to one particular photo at a time - and so if you want audio for each item you have to add it to each item separately.
(there is no way to add a single audio file that plays throughout the entire slideshow)
FS slideshows aren't very flexible - but they can still be nice within those limitations.

but yeh - I too wished that there was some configuration setting that would allow the item description to be used as a slideshow label or caption.
I have also made the suggestion. but dont hold your breath . . .
