I accidently deleted a parent child relationship between my Grandfather and Aunt. Every time I try to restore the relationship it tells me I can't at this time try again later. What do I do?

    Hi Sheila

Sounds like you have tried to restore the relationship and that is not working. The other option is just to add the relationship. You can do this by recording the ID number for your aunt, go to the person page for your grandfather, scroll down to the family members section, underneath the children click add child. Select to add by ID and enter the ID for your aunt. Click next and if everything looks right, select and that will add your aunt back as a child of your grandfather. Here are the more detailed instructions.

We are also including the instructions for restoring a relationship in case you want to look at that.

If you are still having problems, let us know with a little more detail like the ID for your grandfather and aunt. Also let us know if they are both deceased. Thanks

It looks like you merged two records for the mother, Maude VineLee Ree: LTVL-BV4 and L41C-998 on August 19, 2020. That is the same date that the children show relationships deleted and added to the parents. It looks like it is that merge that caused the relationships to be deleted and added. Are the relationships correct now in Family Tree or is there a further change that needs to be made?

It sounds like you may be trying to Restore the relationship from the Latest Changes and it is not working. If you have the ID number of the child that was removed, you can go to one of the parent's details page and add the child to the family by the ID number as described in the document attached. We hope this helps!
