Hello,

I am researching the Robbe/Robb family for a DAR supplemental application. I found the book in your digital library, but it is protected. The information included shows you own the book. How can I obtain information contained in the book? Do you offer inter-library loan? If not, what are my options on seeing if information in the book is some that I need?

Thank you,

Pat in NC

I don't see a digital copy (maybe I'm missing something), but I do see that they have it on microfilm (in Utah). My understanding is that all microfilm is in the process of being converted to digital versions but that takes time. The family history center does not do inter-library loan at this time. Again I suggest going through World Cat - maybe the Allen county library in Indiana will do an inter-library loan.

FamilySearch Digital Library catalog entry is https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/651542-william-robbe-1692-1769-of-peterborough-new-hampshire-and-some-of-his-descendants?offset=1

If you only wanted a limited number of pages, perhaps the Family History Library Look up service might be able to assist although I don't know whether they do books from the Digital Library. https://www.familysearch.org/family-history-library/family-history-library-records-look-up-service

You could ask for the microfilm (Catalogue entry https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/994176 ) to be now given priority for digitisation by posting a request in this Q and A section, in category Search. However, that may take a while, and even when the digitisation is completed, due to the relatively recent date of publication of the book it may not be available as a digitised microfilm and remain restricted to viewing as a microfilm only. Or FamilySearch may even decline to digitise the microfilm as there is a book in the Digital Library.
