The information that I currently have is:

Winifred Anne Barrett born 1884 in Cardiff, Wales to Margaret Sullivan Barrett and John Barrett.

Margaret Sullivan born April - May - June 1856 Cardiff, Wales

Married John Barrett in July - August - September 1879. John's occupation listed as Collier

Children: Dennis 1880 - 1881, Margaret 1882, Winifred 1884 and Johanna 1886

The 1881 census shows them living with Margaret's mother Johanna Sullivan listed as J Sullivan on Mary Ann Street. 1891 Census does not list John Barrett but does list Margaret and her 3 daughters. By the 1901 Census it only lists the 3 daughters living with Johanna Sullivan. Would like death information on Margaret and John Barrett.

Joyce, have you traced both Margaret Sullivan and John Barrett through all the censuses? In addition to the information you provided, it appears that Margaret Sullivan is with her parents and siblings in 1861 and 1871 at Glamorgan, Wales (Millicent Street in 1861).

Also, another suggestion - if you enter your ancestors' names and vitals in Family Tree, you will start seeing record hints, like the censuses above, which can be attached as documentation.

As Diana mentioned, you may just have to search the death index and try to narrow down the entries after 1891. In the 1891 census Margaret is listed as married. Perhaps John was in the mines at the time of the census? If there is no trace of either in 1901, then that puts their deaths between 1891 and 1901. Sometimes it's just a matter of "guessing" when you order a death certificate, but you might get lucky. There is a registration of death for a Margaret Barrett, b. 1854, died 1898 at Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales. Could this be the one you are looking for?

Thanks but the ages are wrong. John Barret was born between 1850 and 1857; Margaret between 1854 and 1857. Thanks.
