Who were Reuben Perkins' parents?
My name is Joe Perkins - my dad = Erick. His dad = John Luther. His dad = John Albert Alexander. His dad was Reuben. I believe that his dad was William born 1770. I think he married Mary "Polly" Ann Jenkins on 4/26/1797. Some people think that she married a William Sherrill Perkins. But the list of William's brothers and sisters were John, Solomon, Moses, (William), Isaac, Robert Biggan. Elizabeth and Mary "Polly" Ann Jenkins. Moses and Sabret where the parents. If Moses was Mary "Polly" Ann's parents why isn't her last name listed as Perkins. I think that she was listed because she was about to be married to William. I think that their marriage license is listed in the North Carolina (Lincoln county) list. It is the listing just before Reuben Perkins (who was my great great grandfather). The following is the family tree for William and William Sherrill.
William - Moses - Richard II
William Sherrill - Joshua Sr. - Elisha Sr. - Richard II
I think William Sherrill married a woman named Elizabeth.
I am trying to make sure that William and Mary "Polly" Ann Jenkins where Reuben Perkins' parents. If you can help. I would be very grateful. God bless
