I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Short Answer:
NOT All of the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' have "Discovery" pages.
Some do ...
Whereas ...
Some DO NOT ...

You can also 'create' a discovery page for your ancestor by going to https://ancestors.familysearch.org/ and adding your ancestor's PID (personal identifier number) to the end of that address. If a language, like en, shows up at the end of the link, remove it. It should look like this: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/L1Q7-7RT
This causes a page to be created for the individual that has that PID.

The Discovery Page is based on sources attached to the individual, and other information found in FamilySearch.ย Guests do not โcreateโ discovery pages.
If a deceased person does not show a discovery page, going to an existing discovery page & replacing the current ID with the desired Id will generate a discovery page.

Long time Family Search user, but relatively new to Discovery. Have been asked to teach a lesson on Discovery at our annual Family History Seminar in October.. I have heard that when non-members access Discover they do not see as many activity "windows" as members.
I'm sure out of a room of 50+ seminar attendees, most of which will be non-members, someone will ask why?

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
FYI
FIRSTLY ...
The "Discovery Pages", that are the original subject, of this post, are NOT, in fact, NOTHING, to do with the "Activities" in the "Activities" 'Tab' in 'FamilySearch".
The "Discovery Pages", that are the original subject, of this post, relate to a Programme, that 'FamilySearch' developed and has implemented, regarding enabling some of the many individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', to be "Found" (ie. "Discovered"), when a People do a (generic) INTERNET 'Search', in relation to those individuals/person in their Ancestry/Heritage; bring, those People in contact with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' - nothing more, nothing less.
SECONDLY ...
In regard to the "Activities" in the "Activities" 'Tab' in 'FamilySearch" ...
'Yes', that is correct, Users/Patrons, who are NOT members of the Church, DO NOT 'see' the same AMOUNT of "Activities", that Users/Patrons, who ARE Members of the Church 'see'.
The REASON for such is very simple.
The Users/Patrons, who are NOT members of the Church, DO NOT 'see', those "Activities", that pertain principally to Members of the Church.
There is nothing secretive, just that those "Activities", that pertain principally to Members of the Church, are NOT 'foisted' onto Users/Patrons, who are NOT members of the Church.
As an aside ...
As you have 'Time'; as, your your Lesson that you will be teaching on "Discovery" (well, really, sounds more likes, "Activities"), at your Annual, Family History Seminar, is NOT until October 2021 ...
So that, you can 'see', what Users/Patrons, who are NOT members of the Church, 'see', in regard to "Activities" ...
Can I humbly suggest, that you "Create" an "Additional" (what I will call, a "Test"/"Training") 'FamilySearch' Account, devoid of a Church Membership number, just as a User/Patron, who is NOT a member of the Church.
You DO NOT, use such additional 'FamilySearch' Account, for your "Ancestral" Lines; but, you CAN use such additional 'FamilySearch' Account, to LEARN what Users/Patrons, who are NOT members of the Church, 'see'; and, then, use that new found knowledge, to incorporate into your Lesson that you will be teaching on "Discovery" (well, really, sounds more likes, "Activities"), at your Annual, Family History Seminar, in October 2021.
Just a though.
I hope that helps.

Forgive me if this comes across as snide or snarky or something, but my gut response to the originating question is, "why on Earth would you want to see a Discovery page for an ancestor?"
It's an honest question. You can't actually do anything even remotely useful on a discovery page, it's full of utter nonsense and fluff, and you can't trust anything it says. So what exactly is the point?

The URL of a Discovery page can be shared to persons who do not have Family Search accounts.

But why would I want to share a URL to a page that lists fluff and lies, when getting an FS account is totally free?

I can think of at least two reasons why I would share that URL and not mention getting an account.

I just reviewed the Discovery Page for my Great Grandmother. There are at least two major errors in the Discovery Page about her. The Family Search record shows the correct information. How can the Discovery Page be corrected? If a change in information on an ancestors Family Search file is made, will it get corrected also on the Discovery Page?
