What compliance information regarding privacy can you share?
I'd like to know if your website and technology has been reviewed for IT Security and Privacy concerns. What assurances do we have that the information shared and submitted will not be used for other purposes rather than geneological purposes
Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
In regard to; especially, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, "Privacy" ...
Just for starters ...
Here are some "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':
How does Family Tree protect the privacy of living people?
What Family Tree features are available in my private space?
Where did the people on the Private Persons list in Family Tree come from?
Who can see my living relatives in Family Tree?
How does Family Tree determine whether a person is living or deceased?
Can I transfer my Family Tree private space to another user?
Can my living relatives share a Family Tree private space to work together?
What are private memories?
How do I make a memory private?
Who can view the items uploaded in Memories for living people?
How do I request that a memory or person tag be removed from a person?
This one would not fit on my previous post ...
Do private memories appear in the change history in Family Tree?
I hope this (all) helps, somewhat, for starters.
@Privado Privado If you're not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, then be aware that information you submit to the FamilySearch Family Tree can be used for "ordinances". This is quite a emotional topic for some people, so it good to be aware of this BEFORE you start contributing to the FSFT. (If you are a member, you already know this; I apologize for the superfluous information)0
