Allow CREMATED to be an accepted burial place

Under burial, anytime I put in "Cremated", it pops up as a red exclamation mark/error that says: Missing Standardized Burial Place / This person does not have a standardized burial place. Many people are choosing cremation these days. I think it makes sense to allow the word to be recognized in this space.

Similar points have been made here on a number of occasions. The main argument would really be for a change of title of that Vitals item - say to "Burial / Cremation", or the creation of a completely separate Vitals item, headed "Cremation".
Until FamilySearch developers decide this area of the "Person page" should be revised, you need to ignore the Burial field and add details of the cremation under the heading found by going to "Other Information", then "Add Information" - which has a "Cremation" section, which allows for input of the full details.
BTW - where are you inputting "Cremated"? If you are trying to add it under "Place of Burial" it will naturally not recognise this as an existing place name, and then produce the data warning flag you are seeing.

Another option is to treat it as you do a burial. You would never put just Buried in the place field. You put the place someone was buried. So you could put where the person's ashes were interred. Something like this:
As you can see, there is no data error. This is a perfectly acceptable way to enter such information.

People need to know that they where Cremated, but I don't like the Idea of putting in the Burial field, maybe they could add a cremate field too, who know how to make a fair middle for every one, but I at least feel something needs to be done.

Only works if the cremains are buried....what if you do not know the disposition?

I still think a field labelled "Burial / Cremation" is by far the simplest solution - possibly with an either/or option. Okay, our ancestors were mainly buried, but in future cremation will be by far the more common ceremony, so it can't continue to be hidden away under "Other Information" forever.
Perhaps I am missing something here (especially in not being a LDS Church member) but surely a cremation event has the same value as a burial event, in terms of "vital(s)" data?

Such a 'contentious' matter ...
Perhaps what is needed, are TWO (x2) SEPERATE lines, in the "Vitals" Section ...
▬ One for "Cremation";
and, another, for
▬ One for "Burial".
Probably, in that order, with a ('Yes'/'No') "Check Box" next to "Cremation" to indicate whether created or not.
And ...
As 'Unabletodispaly' referenced ...
When a "Cremation" has occurred, it does not necessarily mean, that the resulting "Ashes", are "Buried'.
[ "Cremation", does not always mean, "Burial" - ie. As a means of the "Disposal" of "Ashes" ... ]
In fact, there can be any number of things that can happen with the resulting "Ashes".
Some examples; but, not limited to ...
▬ Scattered
▬ ▬ To the 'Fours Winds' ...
▬ ▬ At the "Cemetery" (Somewhere, somehow)
▬ ▬ On a "Private" Property
▬ ▬ At Sea; on a Ocean; on a Beach; or, on the Shoreline of a Beach (or, even, a River; or, Lake)
-----
I know, that when the "Fourth Officer" on the "Titanic", was "Cremated" in England, in 1967; but, his "Ashes" were, LATER "Scattered", at the last 'known'/'recorded' location of the "Titanic" (ie. well, BEFORE, its actual location was discovered).
-----
▬ ▬ Basically, at a specific (significant) location to the, "Deceased"; or, Family members
▬ Kept in an "Urn" or whatever (Somewhere ... sometimes on the "Mantle" of a "Fireplace")
▬ Sometime kept; but, 'Scattered'; or, 'Buried', at a much LATER date
▬ And, of course, finally, "Buried", in a Family grave/plot, somewhere, not necessarily where "Cremated".
Just a passing though.
Brett
ps: As an interim measure, like has already been suggested, I enter the Word, "Cremation"; as, you can STILL "Standardise", either (or, Both) the 'Date' and 'Place' with such.
