Stories within Memories category
I believe that "stories" means factual stories, not things like a made-up fictional story that would go in a historical fiction section of the library. For this reason, I wish the word "stories" was not used. Perhaps: photos, documents, life histories, family obituaries, etc. could be used. Stories imply fact or fiction and some of these might be acceptable at a family reunion, but not on a person's family history page. After all, we are trying to separate facts from fiction when we add documentation.
To be fair, if someone does not agree with this, they should note that their writing is an interpretation of what they think the person might have said or done.

I dont disagree with you
But in the grand scheme of things I think most people understand that this is a place for life histories and not fictional accounts - I dont think people think this is a place to post fictional family stories - just because of the use of the name "stories". and personally I think there are many other "bigger fish to fry" as to needed changes to FamilySearch. I have numerous items I wish FS would fix or change - - but so many others that this request would rate relatively low - even though I totally agree with you.

When considering genealogies that are based on oral histories, stories that are passed down the generations from parent to child about their ancestors, those stories frequently blur the lines between who was a factual ancestor, and who was a mythological person from pre-history.
Now, I believe mythological people have no specific place in a shared family tree because of their very nature, however their stories are still an incredibly important part of the family history. Just the fact that these stories have survived hundreds, and in some cases over a thousand years being passed down each generation, is an incredible thing worth documenting.
These aren't here to be factual stories, there here as important treasures of the family, being handed down, and saved digitally so that they can never be lost.
I would absolutely be okay with creating a separate category for this sort of thing, I don't mind that, but the stories of my family who supposedly descended from gods has a place here simply for the fact that those stories have been in the family for hundreds and hundreds of years.
There are already separate categories for photos and documents. I would just make clear in the story whether it claims its basis in fact or fiction.
